Loose hair in Bus. Entry for May 09, 2006 “Excuse me..could you please put your hair to the front..?” this is a familiar plea made in almost all buses in our country, especially in Kerala. It is indeed frustrating to travel with girls with loose hair in a bus. How many times one has to tell them its disturbing to have the hair touching others’ faces..I wonder sometimes why don’t people adopt hairstyles respecting the others around them. Eg:-Long haired can neatly plate it ,the short haired can make a pony tail as well.I really pity those women who board the bus like modeling for a shampoo-ad, as if all are looking at the scintillating mesmerizing beauty of their loose hair….I have noticed some does not even bother about other’s requests and continuing the kinda showing off, taking them for granted- even the ‘so-called’ educated ladies do that!!Of course it falls under each one’s individual freedom to choose their own hairstyles. But we all should be considerate about the society as well.I really admire long hair. It indeed adds to a woman’s beauty(Beautiful eyes and hair make a typical Indian beauty!;-)..am I right? ). But the proper hairstyle suitable to each occasion will just add to it. Why don’t people understand the co-passengers are not the spectators of any beauty contest? Malayali ladies-of course there are exceptions, fine-have a general wrong notion that the loose hair give them a traditional malayali look. But I really do not understand why do they want to project that look even in the rush in the bus in peak hours!! It is none other than sheer nuisance to the fellow passengers.
